Vectech Moderates AI & Vector Identification Session at SOVE 2025 International Congress

Vectech proudly participated in the 9th International Congress of the Society for Vector Ecology (SOVE 2025), held in Crete, by moderating the technical session titled “Artificial Intelligence & Vector Identification.” The session highlighted emerging applications of AI in entomology and vector surveillance.

Vectech’s Tristan Ford served as one of the session moderators, helping guide discussion among international experts on the role of artificial intelligence in improving the speed, accuracy, and scalability of vector identification.

During the session, Meg Glancey of Vectech delivered a presentation entitled “Deployed Accuracy of IDX to Identify Mosquitoes” The talk shared real-world performance results of Vectech’s IDX system, demonstrating its effectiveness when deployed across diverse operational environments and reinforcing the value of AI-driven tools for global vector surveillance.

Vectech’s involvement at SOVE 2025 underscores the company’s continued leadership in advancing AI-enabled entomology and its commitment to collaborating with the global scientific community to address vector-borne disease challenges.
